Tara, on the Green, is where Cliff and Vera Moore have lived for the past fourteen years. Both are self-employed and work in Bury St. Edmunds, Haverhill and Newmarket. Their hobbies include bird watching, boating and under-water exploration, fossiling and fish-keeping and walking country-wide.
Thurlow appeals to them because of the cleanliness, open spaces and wonderful views. The neighbours are friendly and the ability to walk out of one’s kitchen door into the countryside means a lot to them. The main negative aspect of living here is the need to run a car.
Changes they have seen include the loss of many mature trees in the 1987 gales.
